About the Teacher
Personal Mission Statement: I strive to be the best teacher and individual I can be, and to challenge my students to be the best versions of themselves inside and outside of the classroom.
Hello! My name is Anna Youssef and I am so excited to be your teacher for this school year. I went to Wingate University for Elementary Education and graduated in 2018. I moved to Nashville, TN in August of 2018 to pursue a Christian internship for 9 months. Once I finished this program, I worked as a teacher's assistant at University School of Nashville for 2 years, while pursuing an online Masters degree in Early Childhood Education at Ball State University. In 2021, I worked as a teacher's assistant in a PreK setting at Cockrill Elementary School for 2 years. Currently, I work at Shayne Elementary School as a Kindergarten teacher while pursuing my 2nd Masters degree in Elementary Education at Trevecca Nazarene University.
When I am not working or studying, I like to cuddle with my 1 year old kitten, Sweet Pea (see the picture below). I also like to work out at my boxing gym with my trainer, drink lots of coffee, walk around different parks, and hang out with friends from school and church. I love to sing, be involved with my church community, and read in my free time. I have two amazing parents, and two younger sisters who live in North Carolina, where I grew up- we have lots of phone calls and FaceTime calls!
